Outdoor Learning

30th May 2019

The children in P3 had Activity Based Learning outdoors on Outdoor Classroom Day.

They painted beanstalk leaves to make a giant beanstalk like the one in the story Class Three and the Beanstalk!

They planted their own poppy seeds and bean seeds which they will tend to and watch grow.

Another interesting activity was a nature study of an area of grass. They used the iPads to take photos and to look more closely at what they could see and then drew this.

Linked to the topic of capacity they experimented with different containers in the water tray and had a splashing time!

In the afternoon they planted some flowers for the school window boxes and started their Plant Diary.

It was a busy, fun day.😀
