Primary 5 experimented with different materials to try and preserve apples ,just like the Ancient Egyptians did.We were busy scientists predicting and analysing our results. We were all surprised to discover that salt was the best preserver. This experiment gave the children good first hand understanding before learning about the process of mummification used by the Egyptians in our WORLD AROUND US topic.
