We celebrated World Book Day. We brought in our favourite storybook. We really enjoyed reading together.
We decided to do a reading challenge. Our aim was to read as many books as possible. We thought 5 books would be a good target to begin with. When we have read 5 books we get our moment of fame while the fanfare plays and all of Primary 2 clap. We get a certificate and a prize from the prize box.
We invited Mr Wright into our classroom to tell us about the book he was reading. Mrs Eldon, Mrs McIvor and Miss Wilson all took part in the reading challenge. They set themselves a target of 2 books.
Little did we know would reading lots and lots and some children have been at the prize box 6 or more times. We are very proud of how many books we have read. We will keep you posted about our progress.
