Invitation to Participate in the Election of Two Parent Governors
Orritor Primary School and Nursery Unit are currently undergoing reconstitution, and we are pleased to inform you that two vacancies have arisen for the position of Parent Governor on the Board of Governors at Orritor Primary School. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to become actively involved in the governance of our school and contribute to its continued success.
Role of a Parent Governor: Parent Governors play a crucial role in representing the views of parents, ensuring the school provides the best possible education for all pupils. They work alongside other members of the Board of Governors to set the strategic direction of the school, monitor and evaluate performance, and ensure accountability.
Nomination Process: If you are interested in standing for election as a Parent Governor, please contact Mr Cheevers on icheevers766@c2kni.net and the relevant documents will be emailed or sent home via your child. These documents are Candidate Nomination Form and Personal Statement Form. These forms should be submitted by Tuesday 8th October 2024 @ 12:00pm by email, post or hand delivered.
Voting Procedure: Once all nominations have been received, a list of candidates will be circulated to all parents. Voting will take place on Tuesday 22nd October @ 7:15pm, and each parent will have the opportunity to cast their vote. The two candidates with the highest number of votes will be elected as Parent Governors.
