Nursery Intake September 2020
Please keep checking our website for updated information over the summer. This will be the main communication method.
NURSERY INTAKE SEPTEMBER 2020
Thank you for logging in. Normally at this time of year we hold a meeting for all parents of children entering the Nursery class, and invite the children for an afternoon session to experience the setting and for us to get to know them a little better. Unfortunately this is not possible this year due to COVID19 restrictions, so we have decided to update you with as much information as we can.
We have received very little guidance so far, from the authorities, as to when and how we can resume schooling again but we are committed to returning as soon as it is safe to do so…. It may not be in the ‘normal’ way, but as best we can, given the restrictions.
Induction
Alongside this post you will find a Powerpoint presentation with valuable information you will need for your child starting in September. Please take time to read this and if you have any queries please send them to ;
kwright590@c2kni.net
You will also receive, by post, an envelope full of information….and a lot of reading!! Inside the envelope there are also a number of forms which we need returned to us, confirming that you agree to abide by our policies and that you give permission for others, eg Intimate Care.
You will also find a Data Collection sheet. Please fill this out by placing the first point of contact as your first contact. This should be someone who is always contactable and will be able to travel to school should there be an emergency.
This person will also be the one who will receive any text messages which the school may send out eg emergency closures etc.
Also within the envelope you will find instructions on how to register with and log on to 'Seesaw' , which is the Home Learning App which we will use with you and your child to communicate during the present Crisis Log on to find a welcome from the staff and have any queries you have answered.
September 2020
As regards starting dates, we always stagger our intake dates beginning with the oldest, in groups of 6 or 7, gradually filling our Nursery by the end of September. Again, given the situation this year we are unable to confirm any dates yet, but hope to do so in the coming weeks. Please keep checking our website for more details.
We hope you and your family are all keeping well and we look forward to the time when we can welcome you and your child into our Nursery and School community.
