During this half term in Nursery we have been talking about winter. We have been talking about day and night / light and dark.
Today we looked a The Starry Night painting and discussed what we could see...
- “a twirly sky”
- ”the sky looks like it is moving”
- ”the sky is squiggly, swirly round”
- ”the sky looks like fire”
- ”the sky whirls”
After taking about the painting we drew our own versions with gel oil pastels.
“Teach children to appreciate their own work and the work of others”
We drew from seated and lying positions as this uses different muscles from when we sit at a table.
