Investigation time with Ronan - Can the Nursery make a hurricane and get the paper to lift off the floor?
22nd Oct 2024
This morning we were exploring forces and movement with Ronan from Fitminds. First we had to get ourselves warmed up. We moved and travelled to the music in lots of different ways.
Next we talked about feathers and how they move. We explored gentle touch with our feathers, tickling our partners carefully with the feathers.
Then we talked about the wind. Lots of the children had heard the wind at the weekend and were able to share their experiences. Ronan told us that today we could be the wind. We gathered in a circle and flapped our books and boards to make the wind. We had lots of fun exploring how we could make the wind and loved to feel the wind on our faces! We investigated how to make the strongest wind and we decided that we would need to flap our arms very hard to make a strong wind. The next thing we had to do was make our wind hurricane and try to make the little pieces of paper fly. You will have to watch the video below to see if we were successful!
Finally Ronan must have known our Excellent Eight target for this week was to tidy up after ourselves because the children helped to lift every little piece of paper. Well done everyone, you were superstars!
