The Nursery children were so excited to see Rachael and Lillie back for Little Kickerz.
We warmed up our listening skills and bodies with Simon Says. We then worked on moving around the hall in different ways - negotiating around the cones and each other.
We have been working on our spatial awareness and we have seen so much progress - the children are now able to find their own space in their own bubble.
Next was football skills, having to knock the cones down with our feet, by rolling the ball and by kicking the ball.
We used the cones to make football ice-creams! We had to walk around the room making sure our ice-cream didn't fall off! We then did little throws with the ball, trying to catch it in our ice-cream cones. This was very good for our co-ordination skills.
Finally it was our team work game. We had to roll the ball through the tunnel and climb through the tunnel ourselves. We had to find our ball, set it down and score a goal into the goals.
We had a great session full of fun and learning. We can't wait for next week!
