Festive Countdown
With Christmas fast approaching we have lined up a few activities to keep the atmosphere distinctly FESTIVE.
We've already had a visit from SANTA who delivered selection boxes to everyone - socially distanced of course!
Look out for a very special message, from a very special person tomorrow morning!! Children will see this in school tomorrow and we will put it on the website for everyone else afterwards.
Next week we are going to have our online Pantomime 'Cinderella' shown in each classroom on Thursday.
On Friday 11th, the day after the Panto, we are going to have a 'Wear your own Festive clothes day'. This is a non-uniform day, and children are encouraged to come to school dressed with something festive (Hat, jumper, socks etc). We would ask for a small donation from each child on the day to donate to a local charity for Christmas.
Classes are busy rehearsing items for our 'Online Christmas Special', which will feature every class and everyone who is present on the day it is recorded - you will probably be aware of children learning their lines at home! We hope to have this available online on the last week.
No doubt there will be Christmas activities going on in every class too!
We will finish on Tuesday 22nd December at 10.45 (P1-3 plus older siblings) and 11.00am for P4-7. No uniform is required for either the Monday 21st or Tuesday 22nd December.
Finally, can I re-iterate the message that after the 10th December everyone connected to the school community should be extra cautious with regard to safeguarding themselves from COVID. An outbreak after this date puts Christmas time with families at risk. If in any doubt, err on the side of caution rather than spread the virus.
PLEASE STAY SAFE !!
