Well done to our Year 6 pupils Carter, Colton, Zac and Jenson who played for Cookstown Youth in the Blackpool Tournament over the weekend.
Carter and Kolton represented CY Colts 2013 and played in an extremely competitive group. Unfortunately results did not go their way but the boys played some great stuff. Kolton won an individual award of 'Personality of the Tournament' for his team
Zac and Jenson played 2014 Cookstown Youth and won all their matches in the group stages with 20 goals scored and they finished top of their group qualifying for the cup. They won the quarter final on penalties after a 2-2 draw. However, in the semi final they were defeated by Broxburn 3-1 who were eventual winners.
Jenson and Zac played really well with Jenson having lots of attacking runs and Zac remaining solid in defence. Zac got 'Player of the Tournament' for his team.
Well done to all the boys over the weekend, we are extremely proud of you.
