Autumn learning in Nursery

9th Oct 2024
We have been busy bees in Nursery learning about Autumn and investigating with autumn resources.

We have been
- problem solving with ramps and tunnels to make conker runs.
- building with leaves and pine cones to add details to our constructions.
- catching conkers, leaves and pine cones with fishing nets so help our hand eye co-ordination.
- mark making with conkers, sticks and pinecones.
- sorting autumn resources and looking at what is the same and what is different.
- using scoops, long handled spoons and tongs to move conkers, pine cones and acorns, this helps our finger strength for when we need to hold a pencil.
- exploring autumn resources with magnifying glasses and talking about what we see.
- counting.
- painting and drawing autumn pictures and creations.
- using our arm and shoulder muscles to make conker rolling paintings
- using the autumn resources to make transient art pictures that can be changed and added to.
- having fun, working together and getting to know our new friends!
