Busy times in Nursery …

28th Feb 2025

Nursery have been working very hard learning and taking the lead with their interests...

  • We have still been very interested in metal and magnets. We used our new magnetic boards to make transient art pieces. Can you see the flowers, car and people?
  • We have been sorting metal keys and looking at the concept of same and different.
  • We loved the visit from the tractor and spent a lot of time playing with our farm recreating the message we were told. Tractors are noisy and big - we have to keep safe on the farm. Some of the children even made their own farms out of the construction materials and the loose parts.
  • We explored weight and the language of comparison with our scales. One set of scales was very old, the children thought they were maybe even older than Mrs Ferry and Miss Thompson!
  • We had lots of chats and laughs talking on our new phones. We have been practicing our conversation skills.
  • We were very excited to see the ice back this week. We had lots of fun looking at the different shapes and textures of the ice and even better fun breaking and melting it!
  • We loved it when Mr Cheevers came to Nursery to read us a lovey story about a giraffe that couldn't dance. We can't wait to your next visit. We are keeping your special book very safe in Nursery.
