What a fantastic week we’ve had at Orritor Primary School! Here’s a glimpse into our busy and brilliant week:
Friendship Week: We kicked off with celebrating the wonderful friends we have at school. Each class engaged in various activities, and we had a blast on Odd Socks Day! 🧦
After School Clubs: Our clubs were in full swing with hockey, netball, indoor football, Games Club, and Fundamental Skills. The Christmas Craft Club was a hit, with children creating beautiful pieces of work. We wrapped up the week with Lego Club, where impressive structures were built. 🏒⚽🎨🧱
West Midlands Children’s Theatre: On Wednesday, we were thrilled to welcome the theatre group for a performance of Snow White. The children were captivated by the show. A big thank you to our PSG for funding this event! 🎭
Music Lessons: Our young musicians continued their lessons, playing the chanter, violin, viola, guitar, and fife. 🎶
Nursery Activities: Ronan from Fit Minds and Rachael and Lillie from 33 Activities visited the Nursery children for some lovely activities. 🧠
Assembly: Thank you to Reverend Porter for joining us on Thursday morning and teaching the children about the poppy. 🌺 We look forward to welcoming you back next week.
Excellent 8 Winners: Congratulations to our winners this week! The targets were:
• Nursery to P2: I listen to the teacher
• P3 to P4: I listen well and follow instructions
• P5 to P7: I listen to the teacher and others and respond appropriately
Usborne Books: Children who ordered their books have received them today. We hope you enjoy reading these. Thank you to Cynthia from Cherry Blossom Books for all her help. 📚
