⛄️ Icy, cold fun in Nursery ❄️

10th Jan 2025

The Nursery children have embraced the cold weather this week and have had lots of fun exploring in Nursery. This week we ...

  • investigated mark making with the flour.
  • made fantastic constructions with the loose parts and blocks - boats, snow castles and even igloos!
  • painted on ice with water colours to see how the ice would change the paints.
  • listened to the story Jack Frost painted our own Jack Frosts.
  • Explored cold colours and made cold colour collages.
  • looked at changing state - water to ice and back to water again.
  • explored if hot or cold water melted ice faster.
  • threaded with small snowmen beads to increase our fine motor skills.
  • enjoyed looking at, and listening to, our new winter books.
  • made fantastic constructions including Anna and Elsa's castles.
  • settled back into Nursery after the Christmas break. We were so glad to see all our friends again!
