Winter walk

8th Feb 2017

We stopped in the little forest to draw some winter trees from observation. We looked closely and saw that there were no leaves on the trees. We enjoyed listening to the crunch of the icy, frosty grass under our wellies.

When we got back to Nursery Mrs Ferry made us some yummy toast to warm us up. We had a think about what we saw and felt. Here are some of our ideas...

Saw - trees with no leaves, frost on the ground, branches that were frosty, Jack Frost, white, no flowers, grass that was frosty and hard, smoke that came out of my mouth.

Felt - cold, slippery, chilly, icy, crunchy.

Smelt - the cold air that was different from Nursery
