People Who Help Us - Police Visit

11th Apr 2018

We had a special visitor to Nursery. Marty Allen came to tell us about his job as a policeman.

He told us the most important part of his job was keeping people safe. He told us some things we can do to keep ourselves safe.

  • wear a helmet on our bicycle
  • wear bright clothes when out walking / on our bikes
  • hold hands with a big person when near roads or in busy places
  • to cross the road safely for example at a zebra crossing
  • wait for the green man to cross the road
  • look both ways before we cross the road
  • do not play on the road
  • if balls / toys go on the road get a big person to get them.

We also had lots of fun exploring the Police Land Rover! We turned on the lights and sirens. Then we all got a chance to get into the back. You can fit 10 Nursery children in the back of a Police Land Rover!
